Privacy Policy
Cubestream is a non-custodial desktop wallet. It works on your computer and has no accounts, no sign-up and no Cubestream servers that receive your wallet data. This policy describes what the App stores and which connections it makes.
1. Data Stored On Your Device
- Recovery phrase: stored encrypted with your PIN in the macOS Keychain. It is kept in memory only while the wallet is unlocked.
- Wallet data: public wallet information such as addresses, transactions, balances and synchronization state, kept in local files in the App's data folder.
- Preferences: settings such as currency, language, sync method, your wallet creation date, notes on transactions and the time of the last update, kept in local app storage.
None of this is sent to Cubestream. Removing the wallet in the App settings deletes it from your device.
2. Network Connections
- Bitcoin network: by default the App connects directly to Bitcoin peers to download block filters and blocks. Peers can see your IP address. They do not receive your recovery phrase, and the filter method does not tell them which addresses belong to you.
- Price data: the App requests Bitcoin prices and charts from CoinGecko and blockchain.info. These services can see your IP address and the currency requested. No wallet data is included.
- Optional server mode: if you choose it in the settings, the App queries mempool.space, which can see your IP address and the addresses and transactions being checked.
- Restoring a wallet: once, the App looks up the wallet history through a public mempool.space-compatible server (mempool.bitaroo.net, with mempool.emzy.de and mempool.space as fallbacks), which can see your IP address and the addresses being checked. After that the wallet follows new blocks directly through Bitcoin peers.
- New wallets: the App asks mempool.space for the current block height, which is public chain data and contains no wallet information.
- Block explorer links: opening a transaction in the explorer launches your browser at mempool.space.
These third parties have their own privacy policies, which Cubestream does not control.
3. Usage Analytics
The App currently does not send usage analytics.
4. What We Do Not Collect
Cubestream does not collect or have access to your recovery phrase, PIN, private keys, addresses, balances, transactions, contact details or location.
5. Security
Your recovery phrase is encrypted with a key derived from your PIN, the App locks after inactivity, and the recovery phrase screen is excluded from screen capture. No method is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for protecting your device, PIN and recovery phrase.
6. Changes And Contact
The App is published by Title-Tech Networks, LLC. We may update this policy when the App changes; the date below shows the latest version. Questions: support@cubestream.app.
